Fall 2018 Meal Plans for Graduate Students and Extension International Concurrent Enrollment Students

For graduate students and UC Berkeley Extension International Concurrent Enrollment Students who are interested in purchasing a meal plan for fall 2018, we will be offering two new meal plans: the Bear Meal Plan and Cub Meal Plan. Meal plans provide convenient, flexible options for students who want to eat on campus, including using your Cal 1 Card to access a meal swipe for an “all-you-care-to-eat” meal at the residence dining commons. If you are registered for summer or fall classes, you can also purchase a Summer Meal Plan.

Bear and Cub meal plans may be purchased anytime throughout the year (Starting August 1, 2018) ; when your meal swipes run out, purchase another set. Meal swipes and flex dollars expire if unused at the end of the academic year.

Cub Meal Plan: Costs $365

  • 25 meal swipes
  • $100 flex dollars
  • Use flex dollars for guest meals
  • No daily minimum or maximum flex dollar usage.
  • All flex dollars carry over from fall semester to spring semester.
  • Use flex dollars at California Memorial Stadium and Haas Pavilion during Football and Basketball games respectively, as well as other Cal Athletics events operated by Cal Dining.

Spring 2018 Graduate Student Meal Plan

Flexibility to add points at a discount gives you the option to decide how many meals to eat on campus. The additional dining commons discount gives you a great deal on all-you-care-to eat meals.

  • Minimum purchase of 200 points for $200.
  • Add points at a 10% discount at any time: $50 buys 55 points.
  • 200 points buys you about 1-2 meals per week per semester, plus snacks, drinks, and more.

You can purchase a plan beginning a couple of weeks before classes start (see specific dates), and add points at any time. All unused points roll over from fall to spring.
