A number of meal plan options offer flexibility for all needs.

To decide on a meal plan, first read How It Works, and then go to the Meal Plan page that describes you: Resident (students living in the residence halls), Non-Resident (undergraduates living in university apartments and off campus), Graduate (graduate students and Berkeley Extension International Concurrent Enrollment students), Summer (students attending summer session or registered for fall classes), and Faculty/Staff.

With so many locations and dining options to choose from, our meal plans make it easy for everyone. So let us do the cooking and cleaning for you.

Special Dietary Needs

Whether you have a special dietary need due to food allergies, gluten intolerance, or religious dietary restrictions, or if you’re simply seeking guidance with your food choices, we offer the resources to help. Our registered dietitian and culinary team work closely with students seeking accommodation for special dietary needs. Contact dietitian@berkeley.edu for more information or to set up a meeting or nutrition counseling session.

All of our dining commons, restaurants, food stands, and cafes have daily vegetarian and vegan selections, as well as gluten-free options. All four dining commons have halal options upon request. Cafe 3, one of our dining commons, features vegan food and has a certified kosher station.
